no space left on device

I have a SCO UNIX on my Server. When I last tried to shutdown my system, I got an error message
no space left on device.
Now when I try to boot the system again, I
just can't and I get the same error message. Please help!

Do you get more than that - normally this error message will have some more information which will point to either disk space issues or ipcs issues.

Either way, your options are to boot from cdrom, spare disk drive with OS on it, or floppy. If you have never built the emergency floppies or cd, then you might be able to use this procedure .

Post back with some more info on the error (if any) and if you have something to boot from besides the normal drive.

Boot up knoppix or knoppix-std or any other livecd and try to mount the harddrive and maybe youll find whats wrong, unless you have a bootdisk, you might as well ues it.
