Need a help with /etc/shadow

Hi,

I wanna see the content of the file /etc/shadow..
But i don't have the permission and also the root permission. Still is it possible to view it??? Any tricks??

/etc/shadow is owned by root:root with 600 permissions.

Unless you actually hack the system, there is no feasible way to view the file.
What are you actually trying to do? (Not how you think you should try to do it)

If the answer is to see what /etc/shadow looks like and nothing else:

Linux Password & Shadow File Formats

Then you should ask the sysadmin for permission instead of asking members of this forum to help you breach security.

Come on man am not asking you to hack.. Am just asking the suggestion whether do we have any other method to view it!!

Put yourself in my place. Someone is asking for a way to circumvent permissions while not providing any explanation on why they haven't simply asked an admin for assistance.

Perhaps whatever you're doing is legit, but we have no way of knowing that.

Any "trick" that circumvents permissions is by definition exploiting a vulnerability. Otherwise, what good would permissions be, if they could be sidestepped whenever they are inconvenient?
