for two weeks i am trying to configure the sendmail.cf

I don't use the config item that starts with "DW". I do use the "DS" just like you have it set. Can your box resolve "lstn-lono-svr"?

nslookup lstn-lono-svr

nslookup lstn-lono-svr

Server: 172.24.110.1
Address: 172.24.110.1#53
Name: lstn-lono-svr.shcb.sh.bank
Address: 172.16.161.11

what do you see if you

telnet lstn-lono-svr 25

connection closed ? or some escape character or blank screen

1) if you see connection closed means lstn-lono-svr port 25 service is not started, go start it up.

2) if you see escape character or blank screen means the service is started
Escape character is '^]'.
220 LUNCHBOX ESMTP Sendmail

if (2) happens and you mail is still not going out maybe you need to work with your networkguy/security/firewall admin to find out why.
