mailx is not working.......

Hi All,

I am working with solaris 5.9 servers.After some patch installation my mailx is not working in the server.I am using IBM Lotus Notes.
Please help me to solve this issue

Before you did your patch you will need to backup these 2 impt files. You can restore these files from your backup and try. I suppose these files had been changed so your mail is not working

-r--r--r-- 1 root bin 40238 Jan 18 2008 /etc/mail/submit.cf
-r--r--r-- 1 root bin 39877 Sep 19 2006 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

I haven't take the backup of sendmail.cf and submit.cf before patch installation.Is there any way to resolve this problem?

can you back out of your patches? check the patches that you installed and see if any were related to mailx.

at least any tape backups?
