We are running a pretty old system here which needs to be re-installed. Unfortunately even if all my licences are okay, my install CD are missing in the box.
I contacted sco in order to get these media kit, with no luck (product discontinued)
I was wondering if some good pal would help me to get this badly needed media ?
An iso image would greatly help

I in fact do have my installation discs available and am more than willing to assist.
Here's the problem - when it comes to SCO, I'm and idiot. Please drop me a line in regards to how to properly duplicate the discs...I assume there's no infraction in doing that as licensing is separate.

I inherited an SCO system running Thoroughbred Basic and a custom application within that. I've been trying to trying to migrate the system away from SCO, but it seems I'm stuck. I've duped the failing 4GB hd, but the dupe needs registering, and I haven't found out how to do this. Secondly, is there no TCP/IP support?! I would like to move to a virtual server, but I just don't know how to copy files out!
In regards to registering, you don't need to if you can put up with the nags.
TCPIP support comes built in with the Enterprise version unless you told it not to install. The install media is the same SFAIK but the license code determines which version installs.
Install disks? Or a bunch of CDs?
I have the CD(s) for SCO OpenServer 5.0.5a, and a 5-user license for Host System.
The other license is for SCO Advanced File and Print Server...which makes me wonder, what the hell is this?! I've installed it, but for the life of me, I can't seem to even enable a network card (I think I tried a really basic 3c90x). Even if I could get IPX, I could try to get data out of this server. Ugh.
It would be nice if SCO just gave out their legacy OS sans $. Aren't they dead yet anyways? There's not even enough interest in their products to get an illegal source (SCO might as well sue me too for that comment!) Truely, I just wanted to get away from SCO anyways (but I've found that's not happening due to Thoroughbred BASIC).
I've not used FPS so must claim ignorance on that.
Sounds like time to reinstall with the enterprise version. That picks up the 509 or 905 during installation and allows IP assignment during the install process. It supports several NICs but I've bought enough of those 2 to be able to standardize.
I lucked out and found somebody dumping excess 5/6 enterprise upgrade versions when I needed to move 8 or 9 customers from 3.2.4.2 to server. Those deals don't come often and I haven't seen any .5 listed on ebay for a while. SCO wants you to update to .7 host then to .7 enterprise at the corresponding cost since they have discontinued earlier support.
Do you have the install stuff for you application software and a way to back up your data and the ability to restore it if you make an upgrade?

Your problem is the license. hosts license is for NO network capabilities.
so your file and print server cd is useless in your case. You need an entreprise license.
