# Linux gateway not reachable

I have two linux servers primary and secondary I am able to ping ip of primary to secondary and vice versa I am also ping default gateway from secondary server but unable to ping default gateway from primary

Welcome @ishrar302015,

please provide a little more information from **all** 3 systems, as we unfortunately do not have a crystal ball:

- OS + version
- Networks/IP addresses (e.g. `ip a` or `ifconfig`)
- Routes (e.g. `ip r` or `route`)
- Output of failed ping
- Active firewalling/packet filtering on gateway?
