Linux Anti Virus

Can anyone tell the best free antivirus for Linux? I'm using RED HAT 9.0 & want to install antivirus for it.
So if anyone has any suggestions of where to get that antivirus, that would be great!

Why would you need an Anti-virus for a Linux box? There are a few vendors which provide anti-virus solutions for Linux platforms. But, the anti-virus signatures are targeted for Windows viruses and are of no use on Linux.

Still if you are interested, you may find free version of AVG and Open Source ClamAV.

As mentioned, antiviruses on Linux tend to not be necessary unless you are protecting the files of other OSes.

Stop using Red Hat 9. There are likely serious security risks involved, as the OS has not been supported in a very long time. Use something current.
