Kernel programming sys_creat

Hi there

At first.
My Name is Andre, 27 and im from germany

Im tryin to learn something about the Unix Kernel and System

At first im trying to manipulate the systemcalls

I want to have an Entry in the kernel logfile, whenever a new file is created.

I found out, that a file uses the sys_creat function, to be created.
This function is referencing to the sys_open

But here is the point, where i dont get any further..

Where exactly can i find this function?

I hope that my english is good enough, that you can understand my problem :slight_smile:

Andre

edit: It seems, that the function can be foun in fs/open.c?
line: 927
if (flags & O_CREAT) {
op->intent |= LOOKUP_CREATE;

i guess, here we have the point?
can someone explain that to me?
