I/O Error

Filesystem /u01 indicates I/O error when accessed. After doing some research I ran iostat -eE command with the following noticeable error:

sd1 Soft Errors: 66 Hard Errors: 24 Transport Errors: 24
Vendor: FUJITSU Product: MAN3367M SUN36G Revision: 1502 Serial No: 00X59717
Size: 36.42GB <36418595328 bytes>
Media Error: 21 Device Not Ready: 0 No Device: 3 Recoverable: 66
Illegal Request: 0 Predictive Failure Analysis: 0

Am I reading this correctly as a hardware error? Is there a way to relate this information to the raw device c0t1d0s7 that /u01 is mount to? I was thinking about umount the device and mounting it again? Am I on the right track?

Thanks for your help.

I umount the filesystem, tried running fsck to get I/O error. I'm going to suggest to the guy onsite to login to the terminal to to check the RAID manager.

Are there any other logical drives on this controller? Are you seeing any errors on them? If not then I kinda doubt it's a hardware issue.

It looks like the drive is cooked up , if the disk is under veritas controll then take it out of Veritas , try and run read/write under fornmat , see if this hepls , but looking at the output from iostat it looks likrethe disk will have to be replaced.
