Install nodejs and npm on redhat7

I want to install NodeJs and NPM on a redhat server inside our org. We cannot connect to internet.

I have tried multiple forums and not much luck, one of the posts seems legit and tried to follow, but have a roadblock . Please suggest how I can proceed here ?

Steps I followed:

As recommended there I have copied the script to separate sh file. and removed the silent install. Here is the final script

#!/bin/bash

# curl -sL https://rpm.nodesource.com/setup_12.x | bash -

I figured its trying to connect to here to get the npm, which I downloade manually outside network and brought to the server.

when I tried that npm file, ended up on this error .

rpm -i AXPCP-138347536-230619-2336-164.rpm
warning: AXPCP-138347536-230619-2336-164.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA512 Signature, key ID 34fa74dd: NOKEY

can someone help me on installing this or altogether I am going in a wrong direction?

Some other links I have tried are from redhat and itzgeek

sorry for long code, I cant connect to any code sharing sites from my laptop .

Well the 'redhat' way is to use SCL repositores.
I do not think you will get the version you want but it should be fairly close.

If you cannot connect to internet normally or via proxy, i would recommend creating a RHEL SCL local repository in your environment on one small server.

Of course, a valid subscription will be required to create local SCL repository.

Hope that helps
Regards
Peasant

I think the error is

Could not resolve host: rpm.nodesource.com

Can you ping rpm.nodesource.com?
Is your /etc/resolv. conf okay?
cat /etc/resolv.conf
Does the hosts: line in /etc/nsswitch. conf have dns (e. g. files dns)?
Do you have nscd service running?
