I print reports that are landscape

I print on an HP Laserjet 5si and HP 8000 Laserjet. We print reports in landscape and when the reports are printed the font size is too big and some of the report is cut off. Is there any other options that I could try to use to correct this. The printers are set up correctly. I just need to know the commands needed to change the size of these reports. We use HP JetDirect and DCCStat for monitoring.

What's your O/S brand? Version?

The Brand is HP and the version is 4.0

Let me get this clear... you are using HP-UX ??? Version 4???

These are HP9000 series???

Reason I am asking is because HP UX v 4 would have to be ancient... current revisions are at 10....11

Take a look at this link.... the interface file that you are using may need to be edited to contain the correct "Escape" codes to send the correct string to the printer.

You may have to have different interface files for different print functions...

example.. 1 interface for portrait
1 interface for landscape
1 interface for landscape 18cpi condensed

It will be necessary to create 3 different printers in the print que and associate the correct interface for each printer added.

There may also be the capability to pass different print paramaters via command line...
