how to remove a file names as "-a"

Hi,

How to remove a file accidently named (created) as "-a". I have tried [i]rm \-a [i]but its not working.

There's a number of ways. One of the simplest is rm -- -a

fancy
file in MY
$HOME
directory
with / and * if my filesystem allows them.... and even !@#$%^&*()_+-='
