how to mount USB in SXDE 1/08

hi friends
recently i have installed Solaris Express Developers Edition-SXDE 1/08 distribution.Problem is that i dont have network drivers pre-installed in SXDE.So i have to install manually to this i need to mount USB(Jetflash V60-4GB),when i pluged into my system it is showing JEtflash but when i click on that icon it saying with message -Unable to mount.so did some changes to a file called /kernel/drv/scsa2usb.conf ,in this file i added code ,

Code
attribute-override-list =
"reduced-cmd-support=true";
but not working..then also i am facing same problem...
so any one have idea about mounting USB..please help me..its urgent

Maybe filesystem on the usb stick is problem? Try plugging it to windows box and format it with FAT32, then try using it under SXCE again.

Please provide rmformat, volcheck -v and cfgadm -al | grep usb output

my problem is solved..because after editing that file i need to restart the system...
just i restarted..working fine..

Any alternative without rebooting?

i dont no..but we need to restart to take effect on that file..i think so..you found any another way
