How to install mailx command on linux ???

Hi,

I'm planning to move all my shell scripts from Unix to Linux.

currently in unix i have used the mailx command with the options -r & -s

eg., mailx -s "Hai" -r "xyz@abc.com" < abc.txt

But, if i move the scripts to linux i do not have the option -r in the mail command.

What should I do. can i install mailx on Linux. ?

If yes.. can provide me the source.. ?

Thanks
Venkat..

Just try the mail command.

Hi Perderabo

Tnx for the tip.. but I don gave the option "-r" in mail. Is there an equivalent option in mail ?

Tnx
Prasanna.

I've never used the -r option. The man page talks a bit cryptically: "Pass address to network delivery software." I'm not sure what that means. Have you tried it without the -r ? Why do you need that option?
