How to Delete a Post

Hi,

I have created a new thread. I dont need that thread now. How should I delete it? Nobody has replied yet.

If you had an issue that you fixed, reply to the original post with the solution - that is what you should do instead of deleting the thread. That is how we all help each other - by giving the solutions to the issues we come across.

Thanks. That is a better option.

My problem definition was erroneous though! So thought I will delete it instead of misleading people.

And you truely believe you are the only one that could make that mistake of mis-diagnosis of a problem? No, believe me, we have all done that! That is part of the learning that is needed - don't worry about it - put in how you found you had diagnose the issue in-correctly and what your final solution was. This way, everyone learns something new.

Re-opening this....(in relation to a different thread)

I will need to remove a new thread that I created. There is a similar thread that discusses the problem (and provides solution).

How to delete threads?

Again, these forums are to provide assistance to those who come here - your latest thread where you have a problem and found your own solution will be helpful to new people in the future (it will give them the answer they are searching for if they have the same situation). It will also show them that sharing what we learn is what this site is all about AND that sometimes, the best of us find our own answers and share them also.
