How do you feel about the OpenSolaris spinoffs?

Every once in a while, I take a peek at OpenIndiana, Nexenta and Illumos hoping to see the spirit of OpenSolaris rise and fly.

But I'm not real impressed with the level of activity.

What do you think? Is there still forward progress?
Is there a large reservoir of loyal Solaris users that will make the transition, use it, improve it and keep it (them) alive?

I'm getting emails from the fourms all the time from OpenIndiana and Illumta. I think that the word is not out that these are around. They are getting no help from Oracle and Oracle is pushing them to Solaris 11 Express. I'm not happy with the situation and neither is the company I work for. I'm currently look at RedHat and CentOS.
