graphical interface via remote login

I use telent or netterm to remotely login onto a linux sever, but I could only use the command-line interface. I want to know how can I use the graphical interface such as KDE or GNOME.

Thanks a lot.:stuck_out_tongue:

For that functionality, I use TightVNC (www.tightvnc.com). It allows me to use the GNome GUI from a remote location.

I use the FreeBSD port of TightVNC on my FreeBSD box and use SSH tunneling via my OpenBSD box so that I can my Unix apps from work.

Be forwarned, there is a bit of a learning curve if you want to use VNC with TrueType fonts. It took a little bit of fiddling, but I finally got it to work.

Thank for your reply. but i can't open www.tightvnc.com, i don't know what's up. BTW, the server is RedHat 7.2, does VNC will work on RH?

Sorry 'bout that. I see the problem. I accidently embedded a comma in the URL.

Here is the right URL, I just accessed it at http://www.tightvnc.com

And yes, it will work on RedHat. Pretty good stuff.
