Error starting terminal in Ubuntu 14.04.3

I get these errors:

Command 'lesspipe' is available in the following places
 * /bin/lesspipe
 * /usr/bin/lesspipe
The command could not be located because '/usr/bin:/bin' is not included in the PATH environment variable.
lesspipe: command not found
Command 'dircolors' is available in '/usr/bin/dircolors'
The command could not be located because '/usr/bin' is not included in the PATH environment variable.
dircolors: command not found
Command 'ls' is available in '/bin/ls'
The command could not be located because '/bin' is not included in the PATH environment variable.
ls: command not found

What other files have you been editing? When did this start happening? Did you alter /etc/profile for instance?

No I haven't edited any other files. I downloaded a youtube widget and that crashed my system so I uninstalled it. Should I just re-install unbuntu? Thank you :).

Installing that youtube widget has apparently caused far-reaching changes, more than a youtube widget really ought to. I'd consider it suspect. A reinstall might be in order if you don't have backups.
