Due to hardware crash the linux server /sda5 var partation is not able to mount.

Hello Folks,
My RHEL 4.3 server got crashed due to hardware crash,system hard disk and motherboard replaced and RAID rebuilt done.

while rebooting the server the server is gone into single user mode due to /sda5 var partition not able to mount.

Error :- " wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda5 ( var )or too many mounted filesystem

It is an ext3 fs, not in LVM

Action taken:

  1. Ran the fsck for /sda5 and the result is clean but i not able to mount the /var fs in single user. -- failed:wall:
  2. Tried to mount the fs in ext2 fs in single user mode -- failed:wall:
  3. Tried above steps in rescue mode it failed:wall:

attached the necessary logs. Need your valuable input to resolve this.

Is this the problem still persist.If so

1.can you try to mount it manually or check the label of /var filesystem is still /var1
