Doubt, sshd restart kills the session on Solaris 8,9,10

Hi Everyone,

I am just curious, if sshd service is restarted on these OS Solaris 8,9,10 remotely will the session expires?? . I knew we can restart sshd in solaris 10 that will no effect any current session please suggest for 8,9

Thanks,

In theory it should be the same. But I suggest you test to be sure.

Generally you should stay connected, question is why are you restarting sshd daemon, if it is because of config change you can get into problem if you did some config error, because daemon do not need to start.
In this case probably nobody knows what can happen.
Just try it and you will see (on the server in the very far location best ;o))
