There is two ways:
-Setting up Samba on your Solaris system to share your directory to Windows world.

  • Using an NFS client on your Windows client and share your directory on your Solaris system with NFS.

Hope it help

How do I setup samba (I don't quit understand samba yet)

and what NFS client can I install and where can I get it (for windows)

Hi,

You will find all information on Samba on www.samba.org. There is a good list of How to ;))

For NFS client, you can try HUMMINGBIRD. I don't know others editor.

For a free nfsd for Win32, you can take a gander here.
