Diff between Bg and daemon process

Plz provide major diff between background process and daemon process.
Is it control available for daemon process?.

Dear Madhan,

My question is what exactly the daemon process, how its differ from back ground process.Please correct if the below are wrong,
1.Bg process are initiated by user where as daemon as system initiated,
2.we have access to kill bg process and not to daemon .
3.daemon is similar to defunct ?
