Development tools like VS,ASP.Net

Hi I want to shift to Mac OS X , I wanted to know whether there are any similar development tools like VS,asp.net,.net frameworks are available in Mac OS X or not? I mean how does one can compete with windows with the same results those of microsoft? Are there any extra software availble or where can I find them? Thanks.

If you insist on using .net, the mono project is an open-source C# implimentation.

But really, the way not to get stuck in this kind of mess is to use standards instead of programming in Microsoft's design-fad-of-the-week.

thanks a lot.

Is there a big difference between ASP for linux and the original ASP? We have to migrate a site that was done in ASP but our hosting company only supports the linux version of ASP. Should we just rewrite the site?

Is it possible to use ASP with MySQL for the database?

It looks like they're giving away an xBox 360 and the Gears of War game every week until 12/15. Pretty cool game.
