How can I know if $1 ( 06/01/01 (y/m/d)) is MONDAY OR SANDAY etc ...

There were many articles discussed in this forum about the date calculation, please search this forum for date and you will get the answer

Sure thing mate. Here is an all purpose script that was written by Perderabo. It has a option '-D' that will give you the day on that particular date. Just have to supply a four digit year (2006 and not 06). Check the script for further help.
