How in the world do you create a daemon and get it to start with a startup script? could someone tell me in detail im going nuts...thanks
what do you need a daemon process for? ... anyways, it can be any program that does it's work in the background ... see startup files in /etc/rc?.d/S* (solaris), /sbin/rc?.dS* (hp-ux), etc. for reference on how to format auto startup files ....
