CPU temperature

Hi all

I have a SUN V480 server with 4 processores and I've noticed that the temperature for 2 of the 4 processers are quite high (63 degrees Celsius).

Does anyone know what the operating temperatures of the Sparc CPU's are? I'm not getting any warning messages yet, but I want to resolve the temperature before I get to that stage.

From Sun Fire[tm] V480 Server site:

Temperature: Operating: 5� C to 35� C (41� F to 95� F)
Nonoperating: -20� C to 60� C (-4� F to 140� F)

Thanks for your response. However, I'm not looking for the operating temperature of the server itself. I'm looking for the operating temperatures for the CPU's themselves as reported in prtdiag

Example:

System Temperatures (Celsius):

My problem is: CPU0 and CPU2 sometimes go up to 63 degree Celsius.

I would like to know what the different thresholds are.

I'm doing something similar on a HP system, and I think the box shuts down if a CPU gets to 65 C, so you are sailing pretty close (assuming similar tolerances).
