Convert Hex to Ascii in a Ascii file

Hi All,

I have an ascii file in which few columns are having hex values which i need to convert into ascii. Kindly suggest me what command can be used in unix shell scripting?

It is always helpful to support a request with system info like OS and shell, preferred tools, and adequate sample input and output data to avoid ambiguities and keep people from guessing.

  • Is this homework/assignment? There are specific forums for these.

  • Can you show us some sample input?
