how do i change from employee= to employee= in ksh.

in my shell script, i just want to employee= to BOLD.

For the shell bold is just an echo of escape sequence, I dont understand what you are trying to do...  
For your information, try:

```nohighlight
echo "\033[1memployee\033[0m"

```
