I put the ASCII quotes.
Something odd with you Web browser? What is it?
You don't need double quotes - use single quotes.
Alright, single ASCII quote it is... Maybe it was using two ASCII '' quotes looks the same as one soft " quote? I'm going to try this after my test tonight, and I'll let you all know how it works.
I appreciate all the input. For those of us who don't use the command line a lot, this is daunting. Especially because many (like myself) know that *nix does exactly what you tell it, even if what you tell it will destroy your system. ![]()
Alright, so the script works beautifully, thanks everyone! I set it to run once a month on the main storage location. It ran, stripped all the dates from every NFO file, and when it copies to the other server, that system adds it as a new addition with the current date.
I appreciate all the help!
Thx for the feedback.
