Are SUNWaccu and SUNWless default packages of x86 installation ?

Hi,
This question is not for troubleshooting, but want to get some clarification. In few of our Solaris-10 x86 servers, there are no SUNWaccu and SUNWless packages, so sar is not present. These are old servers, so not sure, when and how these were build.
Now, there is a big push from application team, asking for why SUNWaccu and SUNWless are not present, when these are supposed to come with default OS installation. I do not believe, if somebody removed them intentionally.
Do we know, if these packages are part of default OS installation (on x86), or any way/pointer to find this question ?
Regards

There no default installation, there are six of them.

Six clusters of packages are defined, each one including the packages of the previous one plus new packages. One of them is selected at installation time:

  1. SUNWCrnet Reduced Networking Support software group
  2. SUNWCreq Core System Support software group
  3. SUNWCuser End User Solaris software group
  4. SUNWCprog Developer Solaris software group
  5. SUNWCall Entire Solaris software group
  6. SUNWCXall Entire Solaris software group plus Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) support

The SUNWaccu and SUNWless packages are only available when SUNWCall or SUNWCXall software group is selected.

You can see which software group was initially installed on a particular system by looking at the file /var/sadm/system/admin/CLUSTER.

Of course, nothing prevents the administrator to add or remove packages afterwards.
