Apache 2.2.21 installation on solaris 10

Hi ,

I am new to the unix environment.
I need to install apache 2.2.21 on my machine.
I have tried configuring apache from /etc/apache2 directory.

But now I want to install it under a separate user.
Can anybody tell me the step by step procedure to install it under separate user,please ?

Hi,
I tried to install and get following error while running the "make install" command.

mkdir: Failed to make directory "/usr/local/apache2"; Permission denied

Can anybody advise on this please?

"make install" will use the default location for a systemwide install... if you install for a specific user you have to create the directories inside the users homedir and give "make install" the correct path on WHERE to install the binaries!
