SimpleDB/dev is a local instance of Amazon'sSimpleDB. It runs as a server on your localmachine and replicates the SimpleDB REST API asspecified in Amazon's technical documentation. The current 2007-11-07 REST API is currentlyimplemented. This includes the EVERY Action,correct HTTP error responses (as per the technicaldocumentation), and a large suite of tests createdfrom the examples provided in the technicaldocumentation. The SOAP API, authentication(signature value checking), timestamp format andexpiration checking, and HTTPS are currently notimplemented.
