AIX 7.1 screen problem

I am certain I have seen a thread for this somewhere but cannot remember where. The problem is for example when in smitty when all fields have been populated and return has been selected the screen clears and then returns with corruption. Also when using the more pipe once the end is reached or "q" is used the contents of the man etc is cleared.

Anyone know how to switch this off please. I have looked everywhere!

Hi johnf,

you should have seen the same on AIX 6.1 already ... the TERMINFO file changed between AIX 5.3 and later AIX versions. On AIX 6.1 you just copy the file /usr/share/lib/terminfo/x/xterm from any AIX 5.3 and everything looks like it used to be. I dont have a 7.1 box yet to test - but maybe you can let us know if it worked

Thanks ZXMAUS we did not bother with 6.X and have gone straight to 7.1. Many thanks for your help.
